Our client’s aim
Henley Business School asked Flint Spark Limited to support them on their full-time MBA programme. Every year, the school attracts the most talented international MBA students to study on a programme that is an intense and rewarding experience. It is challenging, stimulating and relevant. In many instances it is life-changing…
Objective of our commission
Flint Spark Consulting was commissioned to design and facilitate development workshops to support the MBA students at critical stages of the full-time programme. The intention of the workshops is to enable enhanced teamwork (which is a key part of the programme) and to challenge mindsets about self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
Our chosen approach
We worked with key stakeholders at the business school to fully understand their expectations and requirements. The workshops we designed are run at the beginning and half-way through the year-long programme.
The first workshop takes place in the first week of the programme. The delegates take part in a number of experiential activities aimed at challenging their communication styles, collaboration and ability to work under pressure. Between each activity, the group members reflect on personal goals and also their expectations for the programme and from each other.
The second workshop takes place half-way through the programme and is aimed at helping the students to reflect on their learning from the first half of the programme and to make commitments to themselves and their colleagues for the remainder of their time together.

Praise for a job well done
We were very impressed by your work and style of delivery. Colleagues praised your lack of ego and how this was a good thing. We have seen many other management teachers/trainers present so we knows what we are talking about!
